Coronal Polishing Course for Dental Assistants
This
consisted of a two-day course. Day one was divided into two sections with half of the day concentrating on lecture in coronal
polishing techniques, polishing agents and fluorides. The second half of day one students practiced on typodonts in the lab
setting under close supervision. Day two was utilized in the clinic teaching hands on skills for coronal polishing. Procedures
were performed on fellow students with guidance from Dental Hygiene faculty. During this time I taught the course twice yearly
with a successful pass rate for students.

TN. and worked through Regional Public Health researching aspects of Community Dentistry. This also allowed me to develop
and present a Dental Hygiene educational program, which I implemented in local classrooms. I also participated in several
Health Fairs through the school system.
